Girls day out again. This time we ventured all the way to AFRICA! No really, The Out of Africa Wild life Zoo is 1.5 hrs north of the valley. We had a blast. The weather was perfect and the animals were amazing. We saw the Tiger Splash and my oh my! I haven't been this close to a tiger before. The trainers were in a huge cage with them and they were playing with them and dragging toys around for them to chase. They led them right into this large pool and these tigers were leaping in after them! It was so awesome. We went on the Serengeti Safari and were right in the midst of Giraffes, camels, zebras and ostrichs. The animals came right up to our open bus (no windows) and ate right out of our hands! Some folks were brave enough to place the giraffe cookie in thier mouth and let the giraffe give them a wet and slimey kiss, HALEY! Our bus got stuck in the sand half way through the tour so we were lucky enough to go on the safari again at the end of the day. We saw white tigers and stood under "Hunter" as he crossed over us on his walkway back to his cage. (which is huge by the way. The animlas all have hill side homes with lots of land to roam) Most of the animals had biblical names. Genesis, Lazarus, Andrew, Josiah, Malaci, Levi. Possible Christian owners? Anyhow, we had a great day and the girls want to go again. Next up is the Wild Life World Zoo in Glendale on March 3rd. We may have some guest with us too. Moms and Daughters and friends.
