Kids and hot water just dont mix. I know what your thinking... No she didn't... Well, Yes she did. A total accident of course. Maddie accidentally was burned with boiling HOT water on the side of her stomach. It looks bad and believe me it was, but God has been kind and has healed her quickly and with no infection. The following photos are a bit frightening. She had pain for about 2 hours and then had no feeling at all. Good in a way that she didn't feel it but a sign of nerve damage as well. We saw 2 Dr's. and used perscription cream and kept it covered for a week. While it began to heal about a week after she began to get feeling back. Great news. The burn was healed after a month and no infections. There is a scar left behind and after time it should get lighter and lighter. Thank you to all who prayed for her and cared for us during this scary time. Like many of you have had incidents with your kids this too was probably the scariest one for us. God is good and kind and we are thankful for his provision and protection and healing for her.
